Dear Prudence: SHUT UP →

This week’s “Dear Prudence” video at Slate is gross (if you want to see it, you can link to it above).

The title is “Dear Prudence: Abortion Advocates on the Job.” Except that these women are not advocates, they are bullies. According to the woman who wrote the letter, these women are sending her links for abortion clinics and signing her up for an abortion support group.

That is a not an advocate, Prudence. And you saying so is disingenuous and lazy. 

Beyond that, this video is reprehensible because it is accompanied by an artist’s watercolor interpretation of the events. The letter-writer and her husband appear to be white. The two bullies? They look like women of color to me.
