TO BE CLEAR: This is NOT about whether people know and can act to get an abortion before 12 weeks. For a lot of poor and low-income ppl, even if they know they’re pregnant before 12 weeks, they may not raise the funds in time.

Like all anti-choice laws, the most vulnerable populations are the ones who suffer the most. If you don’t have access to transportation or time off work or someone to watch your kids, you can’t hop to another state for an abortion at 14 weeks.

Arkansas already has only one abortion clinic remaining.

My heart goes out to the people of Arkansas who need abortions and can’t access them, to the people fighting for that access everyday.
